dayfed, Inc. ("dayfed", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
Information we collect
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address. If you later create an account we collect your name, professional history, and any preferences you configure.
We collect aggregated, anonymised analytics data (page views, session duration) via Vercel Analytics. We do not store your IP address or create individual user profiles from this data.
We use only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics operates without cookies and does not fingerprint individual users.
If you choose to sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. LinkedIn, Google), we receive only the profile fields you authorise during that OAuth flow.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve dayfed, send you communications you have opted into, match candidates to relevant roles, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
When you join the waitlist, we will send you a confirmation email and occasional updates about dayfed's launch and product news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. We will not send you unrelated marketing without your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe at any time and your email will be removed from our list within 7 days.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: your consent (e.g. joining the waitlist), the performance of a contract (e.g. operating your account), and our legitimate interests in improving the platform and preventing fraud. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting privacy@dayfed.com.
Data sharing
We share your data only with service providers who help us operate the platform under strict data-processing agreements. These include cloud infrastructure providers, Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not share your data with employers or other users without your knowledge and consent.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you joined the waitlist but never created an account, we retain only your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. We will honour deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal obligations to retain certain records.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to opt out of any sale (we do not sell personal data). Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
dayfed is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect.
